Home Remedies for Sunburn Blisters
When the
harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays passed by the sun’s exposure attack on the skin,
the blisters of the skin start raising frequently also it leads to the
appearance of fluid-filled bumps on the skin. Sunburns are very painful and
itchy so it never let you live even comfortable. If the sunburn will be
untreated, the skin will have more pain and itching then finally it will
convert into skin infections that are very swelling and cause even fever. Some
home remedies are given below due to which sunburn can be easily treated at
home which will definitely help you in decreasing pain and protect you from any
harmful skin infections also it speeds up the healing process very finely.
1. Cold Water
The area
which is affected should be rinse out again and again with the cold water or
cold compressor. It is very beneficial and useful tip. It helps in reducing the
inflammatory reaction and gets you relief from pain. The method is that soak
the towel with the cold water, squeeze out the extra water from the towel and
press very finely and softly on the affected area. Repeat the procedure for
many times so as to get immediate relief from the burning sensation.
Remember not
to apply the ice directly on the blisters. In spite of that, you should take bath in the cold water.
2. Aloe Vera
For getting
rid of minor burn injuries, aloe vera is known to be a curable medicine for all
that problems. It is very much effective and significant. Aloe vera will help
you in re-dehydrating burned skin. Cut a fresh aloe vera leaf from down to the
middle for removing the gel then apply the gel on the sunburn blisters and
leave it for few minutes so as to make it dry completely on the skin. Aloe vera
gel is easily available in the market.
3. Vinegar
For treating
sunburn blisters, white and apple cider vinegar both are very helpful and
effective. Take some water and add some vinegar in it for making the dilute
solution. Dip a cotton cloth in it then apply gently on the blisters. The heat
will absorb by the vinegar from the skin and relief the burning sensation. There
is another option of spraying vinegar directly on the affected area.
4. Turmeric
Turmeric
contains the properties of healing and known as antiseptic ingredient. It
causes the reducing action of inflammation. Make a paste of turmeric powder by
mixing it together with water then apply over the blisters and keep it for 10
minutes. You can also add barley and yogurt with this paste and then apply on the affected area. It is a thick paste which will be rinsed out with the cool
water. Repeat the remedy until the sunburn blisters are removed completely.
5. Tomato
Tomato is a
cool ingredient and can help you in treating the blisters. It allows the
sunburn to be relief and faster healing procedure. Mix one-fourth cup of tomato
paste with the one-half cup of buttermilk. Apply this paste on the areas where
the constant burning sensation you are feeling and leave for about half an
hour. After that, wash out with the cold water. Another option is that when you
go to take bath, add two cups of tomato juice in the bath water and soak your
body in it for 15 minutes.
6. Potato
Raw potatoes
can be found as a helpful and cool for the skin. Cut the rinsed raw potato into
thick slices then blend them to make a paste. Apply this paste on the skin
where the blisters are prominent then allow it to dry then wash out with the
cold water. Repeat this treatment on the daily basis.
7. Chamomile
The
chamomile is a kind of herb which is used to relief the pain due to the sunburn
blisters. Take a liquid extract of chamomile and add a few drops in a bowl of
cold water. Dip cotton in this water then put on the affected area. Repeat the
process certainly to get rid of itching. Another option is that you can also
take chamomile tea bags and soak them in the ice water then put on the burning
blisters for cooling effect.
8. Oatmeal
Oatmeal can
be treated in different ways for getting rid of sunburn blisters. Take an
oatmeal compress and put it on the affected area on the skin and after 10
minutes, rinse it off. Fill a bath tub with cold water and add three cups of
oatmeal powder in the water. Soak your body for one hour. You can also add rose
petals or rose water in the water filled in the bath tub.
9. Lettuce Leaves
Lettuce has
advantage of making you relief from the pain and inflammation of sunburn
blisters. Take some water and add few lettuce leaves in it then keep it for
boil for about 10 minutes. Keep it aside for making it cool then apply it
several times a day. You can also put lettuce leaves in the refrigerator and
can directly apply on the affected area of skin.
