Freckles can be treated by using different skin products available in the market, but sometimes those harmful creams and lotions might be harmful that destroy whole of your body. The medicinal treatment of freckles on the other way is very expensive so in spite of doing all these, why should not you apply the homemade remedies made with the natural and pure ingredients. It will definitely give you the desired results without any cost.
How to Remove Freckles

1.  Lemon Juice

Lemon is easily available at home and the benefits of lemon juice for the skin treatment are uncountable as it is an effective ingredient. Lemon juice actually contains the skin lightening properties so by applying this, the brown spot will be gradually bleached and then reduced completely.
  • Cut the lemon in half; apply directly on the affected areas where you see the brown freckles.
  • Leave it for few minutes then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat this remedy twice a day.
  • You can make a lemon scrub at your home. Cut a lemon in half.
  • Now sprinkle one-half tsp of sugar on it.
  • Scrub your skin with the gentle hands for a few minutes.
  • Wash out your skin with cold water.
  • Do this remedy twice a week regularly.

2.  Sour Cream

Sour milk is also very good to get rid of freckles. The lactic acid is present in sour milk so it is also useful for the people with sensitive skin.
  • Take some quantity of sour cream in your palm and apply on the parts affected with the freckles.
  • Let it dry for few minutes.
  • Make sure that you do not rinse it but gently wipe it off with a soft tissue or towel.
  • Now apply some of the moisturizer on the skin.
  • Do not worry about the redness or irritation.
  • Follow this remedy at least once daily.
  • If you do not have sour milk, you can also use yogurt.

3.  Honey

Honey is an amazing thing that helps in fading up the freckles due to the presence of several types of enzymes that take part in lightening the skin pigmentation. It is great to moisturize your skin.
  • In a bowl, mix honey and water then slightly heat it in a microwave oven.
  • Apply this on the affected areas then sit aside for a few minutes.
  • Rinse off the areas with warm water.
  • Do this remedy for some weeks to get the adorable results.
  • You can make an herbal mask with the honey and wheat germ.
  • In a little amount of warm honey, mix a little wheat germ.
  • Apply this mask then leave it for 10 minutes.
  • After when it gets dry, wash it off with warm water then again wash it with cold water.
  • Repeat the remedy for three times a week for a couple of months.
  • You also have an option of making a mixture of honey and yogurt for applying on the freckles.

4.  Papaya

Papaya is also suggested to get rid of freckles with the easiest method. Papain enzyme is present in papaya that helps in lightening the freckle marks.
  • Squeeze out the juice of papaya then apply directly on the freckles with the help of cotton ball already dipped in the papaya juice. Now gently massage the area.
  • After 10 minutes, rinse it off with the cold water.
  • Follow this remedy once daily for few weeks until you become satisfied with the results.

5.  Onion

Onion juice can be helpful in reducing the freckles and brown spots. The sulfur content present in the onion actually works as an exfoliating the skin. It is better to use red onions for better results.
  • Take one red onion and cut in into the thick slices.
  • Now rub the slices gently on the freckles twice daily.
  • Continue this remedy until you see the freckles are vanished away.
  • Another option is to grate the red onion, extract its juice then apply it on the affected skin twice a day.
  • For best results, add one tsp of vinegar to the onion juice.
  • Repeat this remedy for two weeks.


6.  Buttermilk

Buttermilk contains a bleaching property which fades the freckles slowly. It will also make your skin soft and supple.
  • Apply buttermilk on the freckles with the help of fingertips.
  • Leave it for 10 minutes then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat the remedy for several weeks.
  • You can also make a paste of powdered oatmeal and buttermilk.
  • Apply the paste on the affected parts then leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Wash it off with cold water.
  • Do this remedy until you see the desired results.
  • Mix one tbsp. of buttermilk with one tsp of lemon juice.
  • Apply it on your skin then leave it for 10 minutes before washing it off.

7.  Castor Oil

Castor oil is very greasy in nature and its properties tend to remove the freckles. It will provide you an even skin tone too.
  • Before going to bed, apply castor oil on the affected skin.
  • In the next morning, wipe it out using a soft tissue then rinse it with the lukewarm water.
  • Continue this remedy daily until you get rid of the freckles.
  • Try to use pure, cold-pressed castor oil which is tasteless and odorless.
  • You can also use vitamin E oil or olive oil to reduce blemishes and freckles.

8.  Horseradish

Horseradish is not enough good to eat but it can be used as a treating purpose for removing the freckles. There is a higher amount of vitamin C is present in horseradish. It also works as an antioxidant for maintaining the healthy and younger-looking skin.
  • Dip cotton ball in a horseradish juice then dab it gently on the affected skin then leave it for 10 minutes.
  • Do this once daily for lightening the freckles.
  • Otherwise, add one tbsp. of powdered horseradish root in milk poured in a cup then boil it.
  • Cool it then strain it.
  • Apply the solution on your skin then leave it for 10 minutes.
  • Do this five times a week until you get the estimated results.
  • Mix one grated horseradish with the juice of one lemon then make a smooth paste.
  • Apply this paste on the affected skin area then allow it to dry.
  • Wash it off with cold water.
  • Follow this remedy every other day until you see the improvement.

9.  Eggplant

Eggplant is rich in antioxidants and it helps in removing the freckles.
  • Take one fresh eggplant and cut it into thick pieces.
  • Place the slices over the affected skin.
  • Rub the eggplant slices with the circular motion of your hand then leave them on the skin for 15 minutes.
  • Follow this remedy once daily for about a week.

10.  Sesame Seeds

Mixture of sesame seeds and turmeric gives you an unpredictable result and gradually helps in fading out the freckles and promotes the lightening of skin.
  • Grind one tbsp. of sesame seeds and one tsp of turmeric powder along with a little water to make a smooth paste.
  • Apply this paste on your skin.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes then rinse it off with cold water.
  • Do this remedy once daily then soon you will found the great difference.
