Home Remedies for Ovarian Cysts
Within the surface of both the ovaries, fluid-filled sacs or
compartments like structures are grow; these sacs are called ovarian cysts. This
disease is said to be common in most of the women and they tend to develop at
least one cyst in their lives.
It has been proved according to the centers for disease
control and prevention (CDC); this problem would be seen in women either before
or after their premenopausal periods. Ovarian cysts are possible to be seen in
most premenopausal women one or more times in their lives. On the other hand, in
14.8% of women, ovarian cysts are rarely found after their menopause. Sometimes
most of the ovarian cysts are harmless and belong to the separate process rather
than the disease. During the menstrual cycle, some functional ovarian occur
normally and they are not a part of the ovarian cysts. They occur without any
specific reason but the pathological ovarian cysts can be cancerous.
There are some causes and symptoms due to which you can
differ normal cysts with the ovarian cysts such as abdominal bloating, pain
during bowel movements, pelvic pain, irregular periods, pain during sex, pain
in the lower back or thighs, pressurize rectum and bladder, nausea and vomiting,
decreased fertility, these all symptoms indicate that there is something wrong
with your ovaries which in turn considered to have ovarian cysts.
Ovarian cysts at the beginning can be treated very soon and
they become disappear within a few months, but if the condition becomes worse
and you feel discomfort then you can follow some homemade remedies due to which
you can treat to give yourself relief from the above symptoms.
1. Heat
Heat is given to the preferred area of abdomen where you
feel cramps due to the presence of ovarian cysts in your ovaries.
- Take a heating pad or hot water bottle and put this on your abdomen or lower pelvic area.
- Keep doing this for at least 20 minutes.
- Continue the remedy until you feel improvement.
2. Castor Oil Pack
Castor oil pack is an old and great remedy for ovarian cysts
because it helps in eliminating the toxic substances out of your body and makes
your body clean. Not only this, but castor oil is also very helpful for
regulating the synthesis of lymphatic and circulatory systems that are
responsible for the reduction of ovarian cysts.
- Take a large cloth and fold it like it can be cut into three layers thick so that your entire abdomen could be covered.
- Sprinkle two tbsp. of castor oil on the cloth.
- Fold the cloth first in half to become soak with the oil then unfold it.
- Lay down and put an old towel on your body then put the cloth on your abdomen.
- Cover the castor oil with plastic then with an old towel.
- Now cover yourself with a blanket after placing the hot water hot bottle over the old towel.
- Keep the castor oil pack on your abdomen for 30 minutes.
- Remove the pack after 30 minutes and continue the procedure three times a week for about three months.
3. Epsom Salt Bath
Epsom salt bath can also make you feel comfortable and relax
from pain and other symptoms related to ovarian cysts. This is due to the
presence of high magnesium sulfate in Epsom salt which deals with the muscular
pain.
- In your warm water filled bath tub, add one cup of Epsom salt.
- Now add 10 drops of essential oils like lavender, rose or jasmine.
- Stir it for at least five minutes for making the salt dissolved under water.
- Now soak your whole body in this salt water for at least 30 minutes.
- Follow the remedy once in a day.
4. Chamomile Tea
Chamomile is an herb with which you can make a herbal tea. It
is a great remedy to ease the pain regarding the ovarian cysts. Chamomile also works
to regulate the irregular menstrual periods by stimulating the blood flow in
the uterus.
- Take two tbsp. of dried chamomile and put it under a cup of hot water.
- Cover the lid then steep it for five minutes.
- Strain the solution then add one tsp of honey.
- Now the tea is ready to drink.
- Drink at least three cups of chamomile on the regular basis.
5. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is beneficial to use because it stops
the progress of ovarian cysts by shrinking them. Apple cider vinegar is
recommended for many health issues due to the presence of high potassium in it.
- Take a glass of water and add one tbsp. of apple cider vinegar in it.
- Now you will add one tbsp. of black strap molasses.
- The mixture is ready and you should drink two glasses daily.
- Do this remedy until the ovarian cysts have completely gone from your ovaries.
6. Beetroot
A substance called betacyanin,
present in beetroot helps in making the functions of liver proper so it becomes
able to clear the toxic compounds out of your body. Its alkaline nature works
in the balancing of the acidity in your body due to which many symptoms of
ovarian cysts would be reduced early.
- Extract the fresh juice of beetroot then add one-half cup of the juice into the one tbsp. of aloe vera gel and one tbsp. black strap molasses.
- Drink this mixture regularly before having breakfast.
- Follow this remedy regularly until you notice the symptoms are reduced.
7. Ginger Juice
Ginger juice is highly suggested for treating the symptoms
of ovarian cysts. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, it helps to
stops the inflammation and gives you relaxation in pelvic pain. Menstruation
process starts when ginger reaches in the body because it produced heat.
- Take two-inch piece of ginger, two stalks of celery, half a glass of apple juice and three-fourths of a pineapple then blend these all in a juicer.
- Drink this juice once in a time daily until the cysts are completely removed from your body.
- You can also two to three cups of ginger tea regularly.
8. Flaxseed
Flaxseed works to balance the two hormones in your body that
are progesterone and estrogen. The promoting effect of these hormones will help
to reduce the ovarian cysts. Flaxseed also defeats with the toxic substances
like cholesterol and other waste products found in your liver.
- Take a handful of flaxseeds then grind them.
- Add the ground flaxseeds in a glass of warm water.
- Drink this solution regularly on an empty stomach.
- Follow this remedy until you see some improvement.
- You can also add ground flaxseed in your daily food.
9. Almond
Almond is enriched with magnesium which tends to remove the
pain and cramps related to the ovarian cysts.
- Take some almond and roast them a little.
- Eat the roasted almond to reduce the pain.
- Also you can do massage your abdomen with the help of almond oil which releases the discomfort.
- For the effective result, you can add some drops of jasmine oil into the almond oil.
- Another option from you can get benefit is that add one tsp of sweet almond oil to a glass of warm milk and drink this at least once daily.
10. Increase Fluid Intake
After it is confirmed to you that you are suffered with
ovarian cysts, you should immediately increase the intake of water. Also you
can take alkaline and filtered water as well more than you drink usually. Add
some lemon juice into water for the refreshing taste. Water will help in
removing all the toxins that are proved to be harmful for your body and will
help in reducing the pain and swelling in your abdomen.
You can also drink coconut water and extracted juices of green
vegetables. You should avoid drinking soda water, coffee and alcoholic brews.
