3. Coconut Oil

  • Apply extra-virgin coconut oil on the affected are before getting sleep. Allow to sit all the night then rinse the area with lukewarm water in the next morning. Repeat the process daily.
  • Another option is to make a salve by mixing up the equal amounts of extra-virgin coconut oil and raw honey. Rub it on the skin where you see the open sores 2 or 3 times a day.

4. Aloe Vera

  • Take out the aloe vera gel from a fresh aloe leaf.
  • Apply directly on the affected area and let it dry on its own.
  • Wipe off with a washcloth soaked in warm water.
  • Do this remedy 3 or 4 times daily for several days.

You can also drink aloe vera juice on the daily basis to heal the problem fast. Blend 2 tbsp of fresh aloe vera gel along with 1 cup of orange or any other citrus fruit. Make sure that you just take 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel in a day.

5. Hydrogen Peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is a popular home remedy to reduce the symptoms caused due to the genital herpes. Hydrogen peroxide contains extra oxygen molecule that chemically reacts with anaerobic (harmful) bacteria and viruses. This in turn speeds up the healing process.
  • Take a cotton ball and dab 3% of hydrogen peroxide on the affected part. Leave it for few minutes then wash with lukewarm water. repeat the remedy every few hours.

  • Take supplements of 3,000 to 9,000 mg of lysine in divided doses for outbreak and 1,000 mg three times a day to prevent reappearance. Make sure to consult your doctor before taking supplement.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has antiviral properties so it helps in destroying the virus responsible for genital herpes. Also, it contains anti-inflammatory, disinfectant and astringent properties that help to reduce the severity of the symptoms.
  • Dip a cotton ball in raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar and dab slightly on the affected areas. Avoid washing it off. Do this 4 times a day.
