1. Olive Oil

  • Under your moisturizer that you use regularly, dab a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil.
  • Before half an hour of taking a shower, rub olive oil on your hands, feet and legs and massage gently for few minutes. Now take a shower and then apply a moisturizer.
  • Alternatively, you can mix some ingredients together like two tbsp. of olive oil, four tbsp. of fine brown sugar, and one tbsp. of honey. Now your homemade scrub is ready to use for dry skin. Massage your body with this in circular motions for few minutes then take a shower and apply moisturizer.

2. Milk Cream
Milk cream is amazing for dry skin as it has lactic acid with helps in exfoliating the dry skin and also maintains the skin’s pH levels. Milk cream can be also used as a moisturizing cream.
  • Mix one tsp of milk, two tsp of milk cream and few drops of lemon juice together. Rub your dry skin with this amazing cream paste and leave it for some time. Take a shower and do this remedy daily.
  • Optionally, you can make a paste by mixing enough milk cream to four tbsp. of gram flour. Apply this paste on your face, hands and legs. Leave it for about 15 minutes then rinse it off with lukewarm water and do this remedy daily.

3. Milk
Milk is also used for dry skin as it has anti-inflammatory action against the dry and flaky skin texture. It also helps in getting rid of the itching caused by the dry skin. The lactic acid present in milk helps in removing the dead cells of the skin and make it able to gain the ability to retain the moisture again. Milk also works to lighten up your complexion.
  • In cold milk, soak a washcloth and put this cloth on your dry skin for at least seven minutes. Wash off the milk with another cloth soaked in lukewarm water. In this way, this natural homemade moisturizer will stay on your skin. Do this every day.
  • Another thing you can do is mix four tbsp. of milk with few drops of rose water and rub this solution to all over your body. Leave it for 10 minutes then wash your body using cold water. Follow this remedy twice a day.

4. Honey
Honey is known to be one of the best moisturizers with enriched antioxidant, antimicrobial, and humectant properties. Honey helps lock in the moisture in your skin and make it extra smooth. Honey also contains some essential vitamins and minerals to help in improving the health of your skin.
  • Rub honey all over your body before taking shower and leave it for at least 10 minutes. Repeat daily to enjoy the soothing bath and your wonderfully moisturized skin.
  • Measure the equal parts of unprocessed honey, beeswax and olive oil. Melt the beeswax in a small pan on a low flame. Remove it from the heat and mix honey in it then mix olive oil. Now apply this mixture over all your dry body parts and leave it for 10 minutes then take a shower. Repeat the remedy daily.

5. Yogurt
Yogurt is a natural hydrating formula for your dry skin. Not only this, but it also has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to help your skin to get rid of itching. It has lactic acid which kills the bad bacteria and germs that may be the cause of dryness or itchiness.
  • Apply fresh yogurt directly on your hands, face and legs then gently massage into your skin. Leave it for 10 minutes then take a shower. It will help in exfoliating the dead skin cells and the result is freshness and smooth skin. Do this remedy once daily.
  • Mix one-half cup of yogurt with three tbsp. of mashed papaya. Add few drops of honey and lemon juice in it. Apply this mixture on your dry skin and leave it for 10 minutes then wash it off with cold water. Do this remedy once a week.

6. Coconut Oil

  • Warm some coconut oil in a microwave and then apply all over your body before having sleep. Wash it off in the next morning and do this remedy daily to make your skin soft and smooth.
  • Apply coconut oil on your dry skin after taking bath because your warm skin is more readily able to absorb the oil. Do this remedy daily.

7. Avocado
Avocado is loaded with vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants that help in improving the skin from inside. The vitamin A present in avocado helps in maintaining the softness of skin.
  • Take an avocado and mash it in the form of pulp and use this pulp as a paste all over your skin. Let it sit on your skin for 10 minutes then rinse it off with cold water. Repeat the process once daily.

8. Oatmeal

  • Take some quantity of pure almond oil and gently warm this in a microwave. Massage this oil on your body before half an hour of taking bath. After that take a shower and apply a light moisturizer. Do this once daily.
  • Drink a glass of warm milk mixed with one tsp of almond oil before having sleep at night. Repeat the remedy every night and enjoy the healthier skin with sound sleep as well.

Note: Those are allergic to almonds, they don't use almond oil remedies.

10. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera contains lots of antifungal and antiseptic properties due to which it can treat all the problems related to the skin. It keeps your skin moisturized by removing the dryness, irritation and flaking.
  • Cut an aloe vera leaf and open it to extract out the gel from it.
  • Apply this gel directly on your dry skin and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
